Yoshifumi Kobayashi
Dr. Kobayashi joined Astellas Pharma Inc., where he conducted basic research on iPS cells. His work included publishing an original paper on human blood vessel formation from iPS cell-derived vascular progenitor cells and collaborating on research into the differentiation of iPS cells into kidney cells. Subsequently, at iPS Academia Japan Inc. and later iPS Portal Inc. which acquired iPS Academia Japan’s business, he contributed to iPS cell contract research and education services, also serving as the Quality Assurance Manager.
In August 2021, he joined Rege Nephro as a General Manager of Production Division. Dr. Kobayashi graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, Hiroshima University and obtained a Ph.D. in Science from the Graduate School of Advanced Materials Science, Hiroshima University.
